Come stroll the streets of Buchanan, Michigan with the Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Buchanan Downtown Development Authority, for the 1st Annual Sip! Buchanan event!

This exciting community celebration highlights the beautiful improvements to Buchanan’s downtown business district. Participants will journey through the freshly renovated downtown on a self-guided experience, showcasing local merchants alongside wineries and breweries from Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana.

All daytime events are free and open to the public, making Sip! Buchanan a family-friendly event with something for everyone to enjoy. With the optional purchase of a wristband, guests ages 21+ may stroll designated routes and enjoy tastings of local wine, beer, and spirits at multiple downtown destinations.

Guests of all ages will be welcomed with interactive experiences and entertainment throughout the day, keeping the energy going from start to finish. Throughout the day, additional community events have been incorporated into the festivities, including a morning race hosted by the Buchanan Area Recreation Board, the Buchanan Farmers Market, and an open classic car exhibition lining Front Street, creating a vibrant, festival-style atmosphere downtown.

Visitors are encouraged to explore our amazing downtown shops, many of which will be offering special discounts and giveaways during the event.

The day will conclude with a lively soirée at The Commons, featuring live music by Shock Roxy, local food specials, and access to the beer and wine garden for guests ages 21+.

Run! Buchanan: Start your day off strong with Run! Buchanan, hosted by the Buchanan Area Recreation Board as part of the day’s festivities.

This exciting community race offers something for everyone, featuring a 1-Mile Fun Run, 5K, and 10K course through and around beautiful Buchanan. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or looking for a fun family challenge, Run! Buchanan is a great way to kick off the celebration.

Music on Front with 1 Adam 12: Enjoy continuous music throughout the afternoon with 1 Adam 12, a local favorite, bringing the energy to Front Street during Sip! Buchanan!

From 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM, 1 Adam 12 will keep the vibe going with upbeat DJ and background music—perfect for strolling, shopping, and sipping your way through downtown. From 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM, the volume turns up with live music performances, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere right in the heart of the action.

As a local artist, Adam brings a hometown touch to the event, helping create the welcoming, community-driven atmosphere that makes Sip! Buchanan so special. This rotating mix of live music and DJ tunes ensures there’s always something playing as guests move throughout Front Street, adding to the vibrant, festival-style feel that makes Sip! Buchanan so memorable.

Cruise! Buchanan: Car enthusiasts are invited to take part in the Classic Car Exhibition, a highlight of Sip! Buchanan celebrating timeless style, craftsmanship, and automotive history. This open exhibition welcomes all classic and collector vehicles, giving owners the chance to showcase their cars and share their passion with the community.

Vehicles will be displayed along Front Street, Buchanan’s main downtown strip, creating a walkable, nostalgic showcase for guests to enjoy throughout the day.

Vehicle entry is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with check-in located at the corner of Red Bud Trail and Front Street. To help reduce congestion and avoid road conditions, participants are encouraged to enter downtown via Niles-Buchanan Road.

Whether you’re a longtime car enthusiast or simply enjoy admiring beautiful vehicles, the Classic Car Exhibition adds another exciting element to the Sip! Buchanan experience.

Sip! Buchanan: Purchase a wristband to take part in the Sip! Buchanan tasting tour and enjoy tasting-size pours of local wine, beer, and spirits at conveniently located pop-up tasting stations throughout downtown Buchanan. Stations are thoughtfully laid out to create an easy, walkable experience. A detailed map will be provided to help guests sip, stroll, shop, and soirée as they explore downtown, visit local merchants, and enjoy the day’s entertainment. Wristband includes a commemorative tasting glass and tasting passport.

Fun Twist Balloon Creations: Don’t miss the colorful fun with Steven Witcher of Fun Twist Balloon Animals, one of our featured street entertainers at Sip! Buchanan!

Steven will be creating fun, imaginative balloon creations throughout the day, delighting guests as they stroll through downtown and enjoy the festivities. From playful animals to creative balloon designs, his interactive entertainment brings smiles, laughter, and a touch of whimsy for guests of all ages.

From 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Magician John Dudley will be setting up shop downtown, entertaining guests as they stroll, sip, shop, and enjoy the day’s festivities. Known for his interactive style and crowd-pleasing tricks, John brings moments of surprise, laughter, and wonder to guests of all ages.

Whether you catch him mid-trick or stop to watch a full performance, his pop-up magic adds an extra spark of fun to the downtown experience—making Sip! Buchanan even more memorable for families, friends, and visitors alike.

Line Dancing with Sunset Coast Dancers: Get ready to kick up your heels with Sunset Coast Dancers during Sip! Buchanan!

From 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, this energetic line dance group will bring music, movement, and plenty of fun to downtown Buchanan. Guests are welcome to sit back and watch or jump in and join the fun, as the dancers guide participants through popular line dances and help newcomers learn the steps.
No experience required—just bring your enthusiasm and be ready to have a good time! Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or trying line dancing for the first time, Sunset Coast Dancers offer a lively, interactive experience that adds even more energy to the day’s festivities.

Beer and Wine Garden: Unwind and raise a glass at the Beer & Wine Garden, the perfect way to enjoy the evening during Sip! Buchanan!

Open from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the Beer & Wine Garden offers guests ages 21+ the opportunity to purchase local beer and wine by the glass while soaking in the lively downtown atmosphere. Featuring a curated selection of favorites from local wineries and breweries, it’s the ideal spot to relax, mingle, and enjoy great drinks close to the action.
Whether you’re grabbing a drink before the live music or settling in for the evening, the Beer & Wine Garden provides a welcoming space to enjoy the best flavors our region has to offer as the celebration continues into the night.

Shock Roxy at The Common: Get ready to turn up the energy as Shock Roxy takes the stage for a FREE live concert at the conclusion of Sip! Buchanan!

Shock Roxy is a well-known local cover band, loved throughout the area for their high-energy performances and crowd-pleasing sound. Their diverse setlist spans classic hits from the 1970s through today, blending rock, pop, and fan favorites that keep audiences dancing, singing along, and fully engaged from the first song to the last.
