DEDICATION CEREMONY & RIBBON CUTTING | THE FEHLNER FAMILY GALLERY AT ROTI ROTI ART CENTER

The Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce honored The Fehlner Family Gallery with a Ribbon Cutting ON Sunday, May 7th at Roti Roti Art Center !

(Roti Roti Art Center - Buchanan, MI) -

We had a wonderful time with all who joined us for the dedication and ribbon cutting of The Fehlner Family Gallery at Roti Roti Art Center of Buchanan ! We are truly humbled and honored to be partners with such a community pillar.

This generous donation from Tom Fehlner through the Michigan Gateway Community Foundation will help support and fund this vital community center for years to come, and honor the Fehlner Family for their role in supporting, and creating, the arts here in Buchanan. Thank you to the Fehlner Family and Michigan Gateway Community Foundation for helping foster the artistic community!

It was a beautiful evening, with a tremendous turnout in support (including online Fehlner family viewers reaching as far as Australia!), and we thank you all for your support!

The Roti Roti Art Center (RRAC) is pleased to announce that Thomas P. Fehlner will donate $100,000 to their endowment at Michigan Gateway Community Foundation. RRAC’s main gallery will be named The Fehlner Family Gallery.

Thomas P. Fehlner is Emeritus Grace-Rupley Professor of Chemistry at the University of Notre Dame. Tom and his late wife, Nancy, were instrumental in volunteering with the RRAC from its beginning in 2005 to help fund its programming. Tom became more involved with drawing and painting after his retirement from the University. He taught and attended classes at the Center, and helped write grants for capital improvements in the galleries. He continues to take a keen interest in and support the Center’s activities.

The Roti Roti Art Center of Buchanan is located at 117 W. Front Street, Buchanan, MI. It was founded in 2005 as the Buchanan Art Center, and renamed in 2022 as a result of an endowment from Joseph and Patricia Roti Roti. The RRAC mission is to provide a place in the community dedicated to nurturing the arts, offering classes, galleries and a gift shop with local art, plus many events.
