Buchanan MI - TMPR Sports, (pronounced temper) a pickleball paddle manufacturer, was founded in 2018 by Doug and Diana Clark. A few months later their son Taylor, a graphic designer, joined the business.

Diana Clark was introduced to pickleball in 2011 when Myles Nugent, a Niles native who winters in Arizona, taught a pickleball class at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA. Diana was enthusiastic about the sport, so Myles asked her to keep it going while he wintered in Arizona. When he returned in the spring, he was surprised to see that Diana had recruited over 40 people to play the game…
