American Legion
The American Legion is built on a promise from men and women who swore with their lives to defend and protect the United States through military service. The promise begins at enlistment, grows through training and discipline in the U.S. Armed Forces and continues after discharge, as veterans in service to community, state and nation. In times of crisis, The American Legion steps into the turmoil and fights to provide needed assistance for others.

Berrien County Historical Association
It is the mission of the Berrien County Historical Association to collect and preserve artifacts related to Berrien County history through exhibits, publications, research activities, educational opportunities, and community outreach programs.

Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce
For over 60 years, the Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce has welcomed businesses, residents, and visitors to a community that is proud of its history and excited about its future. The Chamber is a catalyst for building a strong sense of community by sponsoring major events that bring people together. It encourages economic growth and industry innovation by providing its members with a variety of business resources.

Buchanan-Galien Lions Club
Buchanan-Galien Lion’s Club is a part of Lion’s Club International, the world’s largest service club organization with 1.4 million members in 46,000 clubs in 192 countries and geographical areas. Lions are men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes. Lions extend their commitment beyond sight conservation through countless local efforts that include youth outreach programs, improving the environment, building homes for the disabled, and, through their foundation, provide disaster relief around the world.

Chartered on 01/13/1854 by the Grand Lodge of Michigan, Buchanan Lodge #68 F. & A.M., is a Masonic Lodge in Buchanan, Michigan. Buchanan #68 is part of District #040 (2020).

The Buchanan Preservation Society works to protect and preserve residential, commercial, and industrial neighborhoods and their environments, including specific buildings and structures, while maintaining historic and genealogical records, objects and archives.

Buchanan Scarecrow Charities
Non-Profit Organization serving the Buchanan community. During the fall season, volunteers from the area create scarecrows to decorate the downtown business area. All profits remain local and benefit the Buchanan community.

City of Buchanan
Buchanan is a community of neighbors continuing the diligence and cooperation that helped to pioneer the area in the mid-1800’s to build rich recreational, educational and religious opportunities while promoting the growth of businesses and community services.

Friends of Oak Ridge Cemetery
Friends of Oak Ridge Cemetery was formed in 2003 with the primary objective of cleaning and repairing grave stones and monuments in the old part of the cemetery, and a more general objective of ‘Preserving Our Heritage.’ Our index to burials is now available on the Local History Room page on the Buchanan District Library's web site.

Miss Buchanan, Inc.
Miss Buchanan Inc. was started in 1978. Every December, Miss Buchanan Inc. holds a pageant where young ladies compete for the title of Miss Buchanan and her Court of Honor. Through her year of service as Miss Buchanan, she gets opportunities to attend local community events, receives scholarship money, and represents her community in the Miss Blossomtime pageant.

Niles Buchanan Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels is a non-profit organization that has been in the Niles-Buchanan area for decades. We deliver two meals a day to the door of individuals who are, for a variety of reasons, unable to make their own healthy meals. The cost is $5.00 a day. Meals can be started or stopped at any time.

PACE of Southwest Michigan
PACE is a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly. We provide medical, therapeutic and social care and support to allow people who qualify for nursing home level of care to stay safely in their homes with our help. Our services are provided at no cost to those who qualify and who have Medicaid and Medicare.
