Arthur Havlicek

Arthur Havlicek is President & CEO of the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber of Commerce, a thriving member-based organization serving Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties. In this role, he leads the organization's programming and personnel while advancing the economic interests of its members and improving the regional business climate.

Arthur grew up in Bridgman and graduated from Lake Michigan Catholic High School in St. Joseph before earning his degree in political science and public administration from Grand Valley State University. He then spent five years on staff at the Michigan House of Representatives, where he contributed to numerous political and legislative achievements.

He assumed his current position in January 2020 at age 27. Under his leadership, the Chamber has experienced transformational growth in staff, membership, programs, and partnerships – including the recent integration of the Greater Niles Chamber. He has become a recognized leader within his industry at both the state and national level, earning a 40-under-40 distinction in 2020, an organizational Award of Distinction in 2021, and he was one of just thirty-four industry professionals across the country to be selected for the prestigious Business Leads Fellowship Program through the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation in 2022.

His most rewarding experience, however, has been that of husband and father. He lives in St. Joseph Township with his wife, Gabriella, and daughters, Nora and Clara, where they enjoy exploring all that Southwest Michigan has to offer.
