Allison Hayes serves as the Community Engagement Manager for the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber of Commerce, where she helps strengthen connections between businesses, nonprofits, and the communities they serve. Drawing on more than two decades of experience as an award-winning journalist, television host, and live event moderator, Allison brings a unique ability to tell compelling stories, build authentic relationships, and engage audiences.
Today, she channels that passion into creating programs, events, and partnerships that support economic growth while celebrating the people and organizations making Southwest Michigan a better place to live and work.
A proud graduate of Niles High School and the University of Florida, Allison is also the founder of One Good Deed Michiana, a nonprofit dedicated to helping those who help others because one good deed can change a life. Through the Robert Freeze Memorial Scholarship, she has helped award thousands of dollars in scholarships to local students. Allison is the wife of Niles Mayor Nick Shelton, a mother of three, and remains deeply committed to serving the region she proudly calls home.
